This year UPSE will release the notification of the examination on 11th December, and application process will start from 11th dec. to 31 dec. 2024.

 

Eligibility Criteria

To appear for the NDA Exam, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

  1. Nationality:

Only person with Indian nationality can apply for this, if any person from Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan wants to apply he or she must have some special eligibility.

  1. Age Limit

Candidate must at least 16.5 year old or maximum 19.5 year at the time of application.

  1. Educational Qualification:

    • For Army Wing: A 10+2 pass or equivalent from a recognized board.
    • For Air Force and Navy Wings: A 10+2 pass with Physics and Mathematics.
  2. Gender and Marital Status

The candidate must be unmarried and both Girls and boys can apply for admission.

  • Physical Standards

    Candidates must meet the prescribed physical and medical standards.

Height for male candidate must be 157 cm for Navy and Army and for female candidate it is 152 cm.

for hilly region and Gorkhas it is 5 cm less than other.

weight and height must be in some standard ration.

BMI must be under 25 for female candidates.

visual acuity 6/6 for one eye and 6/9 for the other to join Navy and for army it is 6/6 and6/12.

Hearing must be normal and you must have healthy tooths.

Exam Pattern

The NDA Exam consists of two stages:

  1. Written Examination

    • Mathematics: 120 questions, 300 marks
    • General Ability Test (GAT): 150 questions, 600 marks
    • Total: 900 marks
    • Time Duration: 2.5 hours for each paper.
  2. SSB Interview

    • Shortlisted candidates are called for a rigorous Service Selection Board (SSB) interview, which includes psychological tests, group tasks, and a personal interview.
    • Marks: 900 marks
