COMMON UNIVERSITY EXTRANCE TEST, CUET 2024
INTRODUCTION OF CUET 2024-
Common university entrance test CUET 2024, is conducted by National testing agency (NTA) for admission in central universities and facilitate the students to get admission on the basis of a single exam instead of multiple exams for various universities in India.
The ‘Common University Entrance Test ” is to be known as CUET leads to the creation of an enabling framework to make this possible. The Ministry of Education will introduce the Common University Entrance Test for admission into all UG Programs in all Central Universities for Academic session 2024-25. Introduction of CUET would provide a common platform and equal opportunity to candidates spread across the length and breadth of the country, particularly from rural and other remote areas; to establish better connectivity with the Universities. In the case of a single Examination, the Candidate can reach a wide outreach for the admission process in various Central Universities from all over the country.

Eligibility Criteria for CUET: Who Can Apply
Candidates do not have age criteria for appearing in the CUET cannot appear in the CUET . Therefore, the candidates who have passed the class 12 /equivalent examination or are appearing in 2024 will appear in the CUET examination irrespective of their age. Nonetheless, the candidates are required to meet the age requirements in which they are willing to gain admission.
List of Qualifying Examinations (QE) FOR CUET 2024
- The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc.
- Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
- Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
- Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.
- A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years duration.
- General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
- High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
- Candidates who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination.
- In case the Class 12 Examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier
Things to carry in CUET exam
Candidates are advised to carry only the following with them into the examination venue:
- Admit card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in
- A simple transparent Ball Point Pen
- Additional photograph (same as uploaded on the Online Application Form) to be pasted on the attendance sheet in the Examination Room/ Hall.
- Any one of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid, and non-expired) – School Identity Card/ PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/E-Aadhaar with photograph/ Ration Card with photograph/ Class 12 Board Admit Card with photograph/ Bank Passbook with Photograph.
- PwBD certificate issued by the authorized medical officer, if claiming the relaxation under the PwBD category
- Personal transparent water bottle
- Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic.
How to fill CUET EXAM FORM
Step 1: Fill out the online application form and make a note of the Application Number that the system generates. While completing the online application form, the candidate must provide the necessary information. In addition, they must set up a password, select a security question, and provide their response. An application number will be generated following the successful submission of the personal data.
This number must be used to complete the subsequent steps of the application form and will be needed for any future correspondence or references. The candidate will be able to log in directly on subsequent attempts using the Application Number and Password that were generated by the system.
Step 2: Application Form: Using the system-generated Application Number and pre-created Password, candidates can log in and complete the form by entering their personal information, selecting a university or program, providing details about their educational background, selecting the cities where they would like to take the exam, and uploading any necessary documents or images.
i. Against a white background, the recent photo should show 80% of the face (without the mask) visible, including the ears. It should also be in color or black and white.
ii. The scanned copy of the signature and photo must be in the JPG or JPEG format and be readable.
iii. The scanned photo’s size should be readily apparent, ranging from 10 kb to 200 kb. iv. The scanned signature should have a size of between 04 kb and
Step 3: cost Payment: Candidates must pay the required examination cost after completing Steps 1 and 2. The only ways to pay for the fee are online via UPI, credit card, debit card, or net banking. The responsible Bank/Payment Gateway Integrator will charge the candidate processing fees and GST, if applicable, in addition to the examination fee.
Only after the Candidate’s payment has been successfully processed will the online application form’s Confirmation Page be prepared. To ensure a successful payment or to get a refund for duplicate or multiple payments, the candidate may need to contact the relevant bank or payment gateway using the helpline number and email provided in the information bulletin if the confirmation page does not appear after the fee is paid.
